FGS Xiang Yun Temple 佛光山香雲寺

Xiang Yun Temple is one of the many branches of the Fo Guang Shan Temple Buddhist Order that has spread throughout the world. " Fo Guang Shan " is Mandarin for Buddha (Fo), Light (Guang), and Mountain (Shan). Founded in 1965 by Grand Master Hsing Yun, the order's international headquarters is in Kaohsiung, Taiwan.

FGS Buddhism is rooted in the Mahayana tradition that emphasizes the point that Buddhahood is within everyone's potential reach. FGS followers strive to bring Buddhism into their daily life and aptly term their faith " Humanistic Buddhism."

Xiang Yun Temple is not only a place of worship, but also and educational and mediation facility. It provides a place for people to study various aspects of Buddhism, also provides a sanctuary to all people from the pressures of daily life.
