As a young boy I spent my summer vacations in Santa Maria, CA where I was introduced to Santa Maria style BBQ and cuts of meat that were unheard of at that time such as my personal favorite, Tri-Tip! It has been my dream for many years to share that down home food with others.

Well, here it goes... With great pleasure I welcome you to Cliff’s Horny Bull, great down home food!

I was introduced to the kitchen by some amazing chefs. With my Italian roots I was taught skills by John Pagano who owned the very successful Chandelier restaurant in Oakland, CA in the 1950’s and 60’s. George Ambrose also shared his knowledge and skills with me. George Ambrose was a legend in the food industry in Castro Valley and Pleasanton, CA in the 1960’s and 70’s. More recently I studied with renowned chef Renzo Veronese from Italy, working out of Sonoma, CA.
