The idea of Ciao Gelateria began by a reminder dated 1994 at an ice cream shop named “Ciao Café” at Malioboro Mall. Angelo (Ciao founder) landed in 2015, came back to this city bring the authentic Italian Gelato recipe right from the origin Italy; deliver the real Italian Gelato to your taste buds!
We make gelato in a small batch to make sure we always serve the best quality, freshly everyday. Mixing premium Italian and local ingredients, our gelato contains only natural ingredients: additive, preservative, and artificial coloring-free! Each scoop is full of natural goodness; good for your body, good for your health.
The most important process we never skip in making gelato is pasteurization—which is the process of heating milk up (±85ºC) and then quickly cooling it down (±-4ºC) to eliminate certain bacteria. It makes our gelato safer and healthier.
There are more than 30 gelato flavors you can taste at Ciao Point with some special flavors available on certain days, such as Tiramisu, Praline Diore, Nutella, Cremino, Hazelnut, and Mediterraneo. Also some sorbet depends on local seasonal fruits like dragon fruit.
Almost a year later, Angelo & Daniel bring the authentic Napoli Pizza to Jogja. Ciao Pizzeria serves "the first Napoli Pizza in Jogja". It’s the most traditional form of wood-fired Italian pizza with all fresh ingredients: homemade dough, homemade tomato sauce, mozzarella cheese, and many toppings such as basil, pepperoni, mushroom, tuna, etc.

We provide not only traditional form of Napoli pizza (tomato-based) with various toppings, we also serve pizza Bianca (mozzarella cheese-based), panty pizza, calzone, and Foccacia (salty or sweet). Available vegetarian and vegan menu.
