Cedarbarn Farm Shop, Award Winning Café & Miniature Railway
We are an award winning Farm Shop and Café, situated between Pickering and Thornton Dale. We provide local, seasonal produce and top quality delicious home cooking.
Welcome to Cedarbarn, where we're passionate about growing, cooking and eating fabulous food!
Our award-winning farm shop and café is food heaven… but our produce doesn't just taste great; we're proud to say it's locally sourced as far as possible, with much of it grown on our own farm. Nearly everything we sell or serve has been produced right here in beautiful North Yorkshire, whether it's our own fresh meat, Scarborough fish, seasonal fruit and vegetables or delicious deli products.
Cedarbarn is run by husband and wife team Karl and Mandy Avison. Karl's family has farmed in the Thornton Dale area for over a century, and Mandy has years of experience in hotels and catering, so they make the perfect team! The business is a real family affair, with Karl and Mandy's daughter, niece and nephew working part-time, and even Karl's mum lending a hand in the kitchen.
Our aim at Cedarbarn is very simple; to bring you top-quality, healthy, fresh food with impeccable provenance and as few food miles as possible. We're inspired by our love of farming and also care deeply about our impact on the environment - so all our operations are as eco-friendly as possible.
