Bud's Restaurant

-Bud's started out as Bud's Hamburger Shop. It was built in 1939 by Bud Deatrick: that's how Bud's got its name.
-Bud Deatrick came from Hillsdale Michigan to open his second Bud's.
-The first Bud's is still in operation today.
-Mr. Deatrick in 1941, then closed the Hamburger Shop.

-In 1942 Glen Hiatt opened Bud's Hamburger Shop once again. Mr. Hiatt operated Bud's for the next ten years. Then he sold the Hamburger Shop to the first Mayer, Elden & Marilyn.
-Elden & Marilyn Mayer took over operations in November 1952, for the next thirteen years.
-In November 1965, Elden sold Bud's Hamburger Shop to his brother Lowell.
-Elder & Marilyn then moved to Waterville, Ohio to operate Miller's Turnpike
Restaurant, the first restaurant on Ryenold's Road in Maumee, Ohio.
-Lowell & Pat Mayer in November 1965 began fourty-five years as a part of the Bud's history. With their five children workind to bring the very best to the many customers and friends over those so many years. Making some of the biggest changes Bud's would see, moving the grill from the front window to its present place. Changing the dining room and the kitchen to meet the needs of the new era of Bud's.
-Bud's is no longer a simple Hamburger Shop, but a place for family & friends to come together for a piece of pie and coffee or a meal.
-In April 2011 Lowell & Pat officially retired and sold the family business to their son Matt.
