Bratz Y'all! began as a festival food booth business in 2012 shortly after Chef Sven Vorkauf moved to New Orleans from Berlin, Germany. Our menu began with a variety of top quality bratwurst sausage sandwiches served with traditional homemade German toppings, and grew to include the popular "Drunk Pig" slow-roasted pork roast sandwich, the Nola Schnitzel, and more. Soon our food booth became a popular attraction at many of the great markets and festivals in the Greater New Orleans area with a rapidly growing following of fans hungry for our flavors - all based on authentic German recipes and done with a bit of New Orleans style. We are proud to have won 3 first place awards as a vendor at the Oak Street Po-Boy Festival. In March of 2017, the Bratz Y'all! Bistro • Bakery • Biergarten opened on Piety Street in the Bywater neighborhood to rave reviews from food lovers and the local media - voted one of the hottest new restaurants by NolaEater.com and featured in New Orleans Magazine, Gambit, Times Picayune, and Morning Advocate and more. Visitors to our beer garden can now enjoy not only our original sandwich menu but also platters, desserts, fresh Bavarian pretzels and breads baked in-house, along with the best imported German beers, wines and schnapps!
