The Annual National Shrimp Festival ™ is one of the nation's premier outdoor festivals with live entertainment, over 300 vendors that offer fine art, arts and crafts, a retail marketplace and of course shrimp. Online at www.nationalshrimpfestival.com.

The 46th Annual National Shrimp Festival™ will be held October 12-15, 2017. The festival is held annually in the heart of Gulf Shores, Alabama. The festival is one of the nation's premier outdoor festivals featuring over 300 vendors that offer fine art, arts and crafts, retail marketplace, outdoor village, children's activity village, food, and of course, shrimp! We offer live entertainment all four days as well. Admission to our festival is FREE!

Celebrating its 45th year in 2016, the festival attracts over 250,000 people who come to view fine arts and arts and crafts from over 300 artists during the four day festival. Two stages offer continuous musical entertainment and the Children's Activity Village captures the little ones interest with games, crafts and interactive activities that lets them create their own "art" and participate in other fun filled activities.

Participate in one of the most popular runs/walks here on the Gulf Coast. The Shrimp Festival 10K/5K Run/Walk is always held on Saturday morning of the festival in Orange Beach, AL. This event has rapidly become very popular with almost 800 participants. Now in it's 38th year the race is officially a sanctioned event of the Annual National Shrimp Festival ™

The Festival is produced by the Coastal Alabama Business Chamber and a dedicated group of committee members, who work tirelessly all year long to produce such an enjoyable festival.

The Annual National Shrimp Festival™ is held every year during the second full weekend of October.

The mission of the Annual National Shrimp Festival™ is to promote tourism in Gulf Shores and the surrounding area through a festival that includes Fine Art, Arts & Crafts, music and food with an emphasis on seafood, during the month of October.
