Portuguese cuisine and hospitality are what Adega is all about. Nelspruit is now home to one of these popular franchises, which began in the late 1990’s and have continued to be popular amongst Portuguese regulars as well as locals and visitors from all over the world. This restaurant chain was started with the aim of introducing authentic Portuguese food to South Africans. Over the years, it has grown and evolved significantly.
In true traditional style, Adega is known for its seafood, chicken and red meat dishes. These include awesome prawn specials, lamb shank, and fresh fish. The wine list is impressive, with almost 80 different wines on offer, including French champagne. Some are well-known local favourites, while others may be new to you.
In addition to the elegant dining area, there is an entertainment playroom for the little ones, which includes Xbox, so that children have as much fun as their parents when they visit Adega. The Nelspruit Adega seats 180 patrons at one sitting.
