In the summer of 1956, Paul & Virginia Peters of Fayetteville, PA decided to embark on a new family business. They built a restaurant and adjacent home where they and their six children would reside. The restaurant was built along Rt. 11 in Greenvillage, PA and was named Greenvillage Drive-In. It was built on one of the busiest highways in Chambersburg. Interstate 81 was non-existent so Route 11 was the main roadway running north and south. The large "EAT" sign placed on the roof of the building caught the eye of many hungry travelers.
