Join us Sunday July 5th, 2015 to sample Lockport's best restaurants, and enjoy live music and other fun family activities!

Each year approximately 7,500 Western New Yorkers attend this event to sample over 25 local restaurants and wineries and enjoy live music and other family activities.
As the City of Lockport celebrates the sesquicentennial of its incorporation this year, the Lockport Business Association also celebrates the Taste of Lockport's 15th anniversary!

As Lockport was a canal town before it became a city, this year we look back in time to celebrate the city’s waterborne routes and call on all Taste of Lockport participants and attendees to showboat all things nautical, be they mule-drawn boats, life vests, anchors or even mermaids.

The 2015 Taste of Lockport will be the event no one wants to miss because this year we are attempting a GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS achievement!

Our GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS achievement goal is for the most people singing on a live radio broadcast. GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS will send an official records keeper to Lockport to note the achievement. In order to break the record, currently held by the Hong Kong Federation of Youth Groups, there need to be at least 6,690 people singing simultaneously ... on the radio. The current record was set in the Hong Kong Coliseum in Hong Kong on Dec. 6. The vocal performance formed part of the "Ode to Joy Concert of Ten Thousand," which was broadcast on Radio 2 and RHK 31. The song performed was 'Ode to Joy' and lasted for 3 mins 18 seconds.

The song that will be sung on July 5 is "Low Bridge," also known as "The Erie Canal Song."

In response to this exciting attempt at a GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS achievement we have also extended the Taste of Lockport to now include vendors and activities up Main Street in addition to vendors and entertainment at Ida Fritz Park. We will be performing the Guinness World Record on the Big Bridge in front of City Hall.

We invite EVERYONE to come be a part of history and achieve the GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS achievement on July 5th!
