The Fortune Club was built in 1899 as it stands today and was originally a gentlemen's club with gambling and spirits with the ladies of the night right upstairs on the second floor. It was run for many years as Harshbarger's Drugstore (affectionately known as Harshie's) and housed the area's popular soda fountain "hangout" providing several generations of ice cream lovers with find memories.
