The Mauritius Biscuit Making Co Ltd. was founded in 1970 with a view to producing quality biscuits as a product of substitution for the local market. The Company is better known by its brand name “SUBANA”. The first biscuits were made in the month of August 1971 and the marketing began as
from the beginning of November 1971 with a modest production capacity of 1 ton per day. At present with automatic machines coming from the UK,
Italy and Austria we can easily manufacture more than 15 tons of biscuit in different varieties per shift per day. The company has progressed gradually and our product range covers more than 40 varieties. This gives us the possibility of catering for almost every taste.
"SUBANA" is derived from the name of its founders SUkai, BAichoo and NAndlall
