Ocean Shores Country Club is located in northern New South Wales just across the river from Brunswick Heads and 30 minutes south of Coolangatta. The club boasts panoramic views of the mountains to the west and magnificent ocean views to the east. Byron Bay and Cape Byron lighthouse are clearly visible along with the seasonal spectacle of migrating whales.
The renowned Championship golf course is set in an area of natural flora with tidal lakes, rivers and mountain ranges as a backdrop. The course captures the picturesque beauty of northern New South Wales. The two beautifully maintained bowling greens overlook the golf course setting the scene for your total holiday sporting package.
Ocean Shores - the community.
The coastal township of Ocean Shores is 30 minutes south of Coolangatta airport and 15 minutes north of Byron Bay. The amphitheatre formation makes Ocean Shores particularly unique and alluring and for that reason, amongst numerous other reasons, scores of families from all over Australia have made the pilgrimage to Ocean Shores. There are approximately 6,000 people who call Ocean Shores home today and with the ever increasing desire for seachange many more people will join the community.

The Ocean Shores Country Club is perched distinctly within the amphitheatre and the Club enjoys the most spectacular ocean views, down to the captivating Cape Byron and it's famous lighthouse. The outdoor area is just the ticket for whale watching throughout the whale migration season of May to November.

GOLF COURSE
Our golf course was designed by the team of Bruce Devlin & Robert von Hagge some 36 years ago and has many unique features. The foremost of these is the enormous greens - 13,000 square metres with the fifth green alone accounting for 1100 square metres.
The eighteen hole layout comprises six par 3's, six par 4's and six par 5's. This distribution lends itself to the unique nature of the course.
The lush fairways and pristine greens set against a background of bushland and sparkling lakes make it one of the most spectacular golf courses in Australia.
This magnificent championship course is rated in the top 17 in New South Wales and being located just North of Brunswick Heads, is only 30 minutes South of Coolangatta and 15 minutes North of Byron Bay.
Visitors are welcome to play in Club competitions and for social golfers, golf packages, which include motorised carts, golf and lunch are available most days and can be booked at our Pro Shop on 02 6680 1008.
The club has 2 well maintained Championship Greens that offer panoramic mountain views.
We are a member of the Tweed/Byron District and compete in their inter-club competition. In 2004 our Men's Division 4 Pennant team won the State Pennant Championship. This is the first and only state pennant won in any division in the history of this district.
Our Club also caters for Social and Junior bowlers. Beginners are also very welcome with coaching and loan bowls provided free of charge.
As we are only 90 minutes from Brisbane and 30 minutes from the Gold Coast, Business and Sporting Social Clubs regularly visit us. Packages can be arranged for day or weekend club visits. There are motels and caravan parks in close proximity to our Club thus providing delightful opportunities to spend some time in the area.
All visitors are welcome on any bowls day.
The club has an accredited Junior Promotions Officer who conducts junior coaching clinics and tournaments. Our junior program has produced some excellent juniors and as such we are the envy of other Northern New South Wales clubs.
