Welcome to Lewright Meats & Deli, a family business that was built in 1936 by our grandfather, H. L. Lewright, Sr., in Eagle Grove, Iowa.
RETAIL STORE & DELI
The retail store and deli features a great atmosphere decorated as an old country general store. Our deli features our smoked meats on a variety of sandwiches. We also serve homemade salads, soups and desserts.
All products in our retail case - from Ribeyes, T-Bones, Sirloin Steaks, Pork Chops, Beef Roasts, Pork Roasts, Hams, Smoked Chops, Bacon and more - are all from corn-fed livestock grown in Central Iowa. We use only "Natural Beef" which is raised without antibiotics, steroids or implants.
GIFT PACKAGES
Combinations of our delicious hickory smoked, slow cured meats have been put together in a variety of packages, placed in beautiful gift boxes that are great ideas for the holidays and other occasions.
PROCESSING & SMOKED TECHNIQUES
All quality meats are produced by using the best "Old Fashioned Way," combined with using the best of the "Modern Day Procedures," in our processing, curing and smoked techniques. All of our meats come from local corn-fed animals that are hand picked from our great local beef and pork producers here in Central Iowa.
Our special flavor comes from the fact that we still cook and smoke our products over actual burning hickory logs. Also, none of our products have water added, so the full flavor of the meat is there to enjoy. Pride and time produce the promise of quality.
BEEF: available in our retail case or you can purchase whole sides, quarters or halves. We offer many choices of cuts. For example, on a beef quarter, you are allowed choices of steak thickness, roast size, hamburger (patties or bulk in any size packages.)
Any smoked beef products can also be produced from your quarters, such as Summer Sausage, Dried Beef, Ring Bologna, Beef Sticks or Jerky.
PORK: available in our retail case or you can purchase whole of half hogs, we can also process that to your exact specifications. We will provide you with a three page list for hogs, including choices of many cuts, as well as many smoked products from Bacon, Ham, Smoked Chops, Smoked Brats, Pork Jerky, etc.
