In 1958 Carmine and Antonietta Cioffi moved to the United States from Naples, Italy. They worked hard for many years, and opened the original Cioffi's pizzeria in 1963 at 986 Stuyvesant Ave. Union, NJ. Their daughter, Maddalena was born in 1959 and son, Carmine Jr. in 1962. The family worked long hours at the pizzeria establishing a loyal following that continues 50 years later. In 1966 another son Giuseppe, was born and the family could only dream of what was to come. In 1974 Carmine Sr. moved the pizzeria to 929 Stuyvesant Ave. and introduced a full service restaurant featuring the finest in homemade Italian dishes. The comfortable atmosphere attracted customers from all over the county as Cioffi's of Union quickly became a landmark. A few years later an express take out section was added along with a private party room and full service Bar. Cioffi's also specializes in off premise catering. The Cioffi Family celebrates over 50 years in business and wishes to thank you and your family for all the years of support and loyalty.
