McCabe’s was named after the famous character in the book The Field by John B. Keane, the ‘Bull’ McCabe was a larger than life character who exemplified the toughness of the Irish experience in early 19th century rural Ireland. McCabe’s opened its doors at the inception of the Southlands town center and has been an independent Colorado owned restaurant catering to the greater south east Aurora area ever since.
McCabe’s beautiful downstairs with its large dining area and warming fireplace, along with a ‘snug’ (a small room for intimate family dining) and it’s beautiful Victorian themed dark wood bar is a must visit.
Upstairs in McCabe’s you will enjoy everything from an expansive deck overlooking the town square to a private library room available for all your party or private event needs, with an inside / outside main bar, a large gaming area, the fun indoor / outdoor experience will cater to everyone’s needs.
