In 1978, Paul and Lloyd Hess, owners of Hess's Butcher Shop, had the vision of starting a small catering business specializing in pig roasts and the best barbecue in Lancaster County. Over thirty years later, that dream was not only fulfilled but exceeded as Hess's is now a booming, well-known catering business in Central Pennsylvania. Although Hess's is a local favorite for barbeque, they are also a popular pick for up-scale weddings. hess's now caters well over 70 events a month, ranging from private parties and large corporate events, to exclusive, full-china weddings.
