The Wily Trout Vineyard, located north of Canberra is wrapped around granite hills that rise to 800m.
Located in the Canberra Wine Region, the Wily Trout Vineyard was planted in 1998 on the hills surrounding the Poachers Pantry property.
Our white grape varieties, Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc were planted on the granite hills that rise to 800m. The cooler climate produces grapes that make delicate yet complex white wines.
Our red grape varieties, Pinot Noir and Shiraz are situated on the north east facing granite hills that rise to 725 metres. Perfect for catching the morning sun and for allowing the cool air to drain down the Nanima valley. This unique location produces grapes that are turned into stunning red wines - soft spicy Shiraz and delicate Pinot Noir.
