Every morning at 5:30 a.m., Streetcar 52 barreled out of the Kansas City terminal. Her destination, St. Joseph then Excelsior Springs. Commonly called "The Inter-Urban", she spent her days carrying hundreds of workers between Kansas City and communities north of the river.
The original Streecar named Desire Restaurant was established in 1964. Located at 4922 Main Street, the Streetcar was attached to the front of a house.
In 1984, Streetcar 52 made one more trip and relocated to Crown Center.
Anton’s is a taproom and restaurant located in the heart of Kansas City’s Crossroads Arts District. We provide a wide variety of entree offerings including steaks, pastas, and sausage. Bar K is a unique social, educational and recreational meeting place for people and dogs in Kansas City. Bar K combines a fully staffed and professionally maintained dog park, with a bar/restaurant/coffee shop where guests can enjoy a drink, coffee or bite to eat while their dogs recreate in our park.
The permanent Bar K location will be located on the western edge of Berkley Riverfont Park, partially under the Heart of America Bridge. We will begin construction soon, and hope to be open by late summer/early Fall 2017.
