The original Babalu Tapas & Tacos opened in 2010 in the heart of the historic Fondren neighborhood in Jackson, Miss. The 4,000 square foot restaurant is housed in a former elementary school built in 1927.
Traces of the building’s roots are still evident with high ceilings, tall windows, and cement walls. You may even notice circular patterns on the ceiling – it’s leftover from the old ceiling tiles! We took over the Jackson Baskin Robbins on March 19, 2012. We are so excited to be here and be part of such a great brand! We serve a quality, deluxe product.
