The Forster Bowling Club is a fantastic family friendly venue in the picturesque tourist town of Forster Tuncurry. Along with our great lawn bowls competitions (including the popular barefoot bowls days), we also have our tenpin bowling complex built in 2002 which is now called Forster Entertainment Centre featuring Tenpin Bowling, Laser Skirmish ,Jurassic Putt Putt and a Game Zone, fun for all of the family!

From day one, Hog's Breath Cafe set out to be unlike any other restaurant. In a nutshell, it is about providing quality food and beverage in a casual environment with an over-riding friendly, party atmosphere. The diverse menu is centered around Prime Rib, an unbelievably tender steak that just melts in your mouth.
The Godwin family, travelling up from Gosford, were the first to settle in Forster in 1856.
A school was opened in 1870, with a Cambridge graduate named George Underwood becoming the first school teacher. Soon after, a sawmill and shipbuilding facilities opened, with these and fishing becoming the primary local industries.
The Lakes & Ocean Hotel was established in 1872.
In 1890 a regular rowboat service began between Forster and Tuncurry; with a vehicular ferry coming in 1920 and a passenger ferry in 1946.
It was only in 1959 that the bridge connecting Forster and Tuncurry was completed.
