Ometepe's own "Hospedaje Central" is more than just a hostel - it is a home where one can flourish, volunteer, and meet other international travelers.
So who are we at Hospedaje Central?
While a mixture of a bar/restaurant and hostel, we provide beyond just the normal accommodation and eating experience- we have created a spiritual home for travelers and volunteers alike. While providing all the comforts of a great hostel (wi-fi, free parking, laundry service, tours, rentals, and a book exchange), our very colorful and peaceful atmosphere does more to encourage the nourishment of those who stay with us. Owned by a culturally and eco-conscious non-profit organization La Nueva Universidad chances are available to learn and volunteer with our growing organic farm and our traditional tribal village projects we are running, delight in our art-like vegan and vegetarian dishes, and connect with all types of international travelers. We look forward to the opportunity to connect with new friends and also shape a space where you too can do the same!

Our umbrella organization is running, in addition to running our hostel, an organic finca and the construction of an indigenous village, Tichana.

- Tichana Project: With the intent to preserve indigenous tradition and practices, our indigenous village could use support from any type of person seeking to construct traditional homes and return to a more nature-based lifestyle.
