Nato nel 1991, il Golf Club Castell’Arquato sorge nel punto di congiunzione tra le verdi vallate piacentine e le colline parmigiane. E’ inserito in 64 ettari di verde, a 220 metri sopra il livello del mare. Dista poche decine di Km. da Piacenza ed è a pochi minuti dal bellissimo borgo medievale di Castell’Arquato. Il percorso si snoda su 18 buche di campionato, incastonate in una verde e sinuosa vallata. E’ un percorso di pregio, disegnato da Cotton & Pennick, impegna e diverte tanto il giocatore più esperto quanto il principiante. Un’ampia e luminosa club house è a disposizione del golfista per brevi soste o per qualche ora di relax.

COME ARRIVARE: da Milano e da Bologna: Autostrada A1, uscita Fiorenzuola d’Arda, seguire indicazioni per Fiorenzuola, dopo 2 Km. prendere la tangenziale in direzione Bologna ed uscire alla 4a uscita per Castell’Arquato/Vernasca/Lugagnano. Usciti dalla tangenziale dopo 3 Km. svoltare a sinistra per Lusurasco. Dopo aver attraversato il paese girare a destra seguendo le indicazioni per Cortina. Usciti dal paese di Lusurasco, proseguire dritto all’incrocio, dopo due tornanti arrivare a Cortina di Alseno. Dopo il paese seguire la strada principale che fa una curva a sinistra, l’ingresso del Circolo si trova di fronte all’Hotel Cortina. Rimanendo sulla destra della strada si incontra il cancello verde del Golf Club.

Inaugurated in 1991, the Castell’Arquato Golf Club stands at the point where the lush valleys around Piacenza meet the rolling hillsides of Parma. The course is set in 64 hectares of countryside at about 220 metres above sea level. It is just a dozen or so kilometres from Piacenza and near the beautiful mediaeval borough of Castell’Arquato. The course has 18 Championship holes, set in a green and meandering valley. This prestigious course was designed by Cotton & Pennick and is demanding yet fun for both expert players and beginners. Golfers can take a short break or spend a few hours relaxing in the bright, spacious club house.

TECHNICAL DETAILS: 18 holes, par 73, 6,052 metres, opened in 1991.
SEASON: open all year round, closed Tuesdays, unless a public holiday and from 19-th December 2011 to 10-th of February 2012.

FACILITIES: practice course with 20 stations, 6 of which are covered, putting green, golf carts, golf club hire, electric and manual pull trolleys, pro-shop, bar, restaurant, car park, locker room, TV lounge and massage room, available subject to booking. The instructor, Antonio Pelle, is always on hand for individual or group lessons.OPEN: open all year round; closed on Tuesdays unless a public holiday and from 14th to 18th August. From 1st to 22nd February only open at weekends.

HOW TO GET THERE: From Milan and Bologna: Take A1 motorway and exit at Fiorenzuola d’Arda. Follow signs for Fiorenzuola and after 2 km take the ring road towards Bologna. Take the fourth exit for Castell’Arquato/Vernasca/Lugagnano. After leaving the ring road, continue for 3 km then turn left for Lusurasco. After crossing the village, turn right and follow signs for Cortina. Once out of the village of Lusurasco, go straight at the crossroads and after two sharp bends stands Cortina di Alseno. After the village, follow the main road that bends to the left. The entrance of the club is opposite Hotel Cortina. By keeping to the right of the road, you will find the green golf club gates.
