Ef það er til alvöru íslensk sveitakrá, þá er það Gamli Bærinn í Reykjahlíð. Frá morgni til kvölds er Gamli Bærinn uppfullur af þægilegu og vinalegu kaffihúsa andrúmslofti.
Gamli Bærinn er opinn frá 10 að morgni fram til 11 að kvöldi, alla daga og býður uppá ódýrar máltíðir, kaffi og kökur, nammi og gos jafnt sem bjór og aðra áfenga drykki.
Við erum frumkvöðlar í að færa fram þjóðlega íslenskan mat. Á matseðli okkar má finna rúgbrauð með reyktum silungi, ýmsir valmöguleikar af súpum í hádeginu og á meðal þeirra hin íslenska kjötsúpa. Við bjóðum einnig uppá brauðrétti og kökur.

Our beautiful Bistro is placed beside Hótel Reynihlíð, in the old farm house of Reykjahlíð Farm. If there is an original Icelandic Country Tavern, this is „the place“.
From early morning until late afternoon it is dominated by the atmosphere of a friendly Bistro. In the evening it converts into a steakhouse followed by country pub with unique international clientele where the „musician and poet“ lurking inside everyone awakens. So one can expect live music performed either by guests or professional entertainers as well as singalongs and other performance inspired by the macical summer nights at Lake Myvatn.
Meals:
From the grill, we offer a variety of light meals as well as the traditional Icelandic meat soup with home baked bread.. Of course we offer our special Hot spring bread with smoked Arctic Charr, the special dish of Lake Myvatn cuisine. On menu you can find good choice of local food as well as international.
The bar at the Bistro:
Our bar serves variety of drinks, both alcohoicl and non alcoholic. Our staff is pleased to fulfill needs of our customers. We serve italian coffee, tea and international brands of spirits and beers, as well as icelandic.
