Icelandic design – Art in Clay - The couple Thor Sveinsson, (potter and designer) and G. Helga Ingadóttir (singer and ceramic artist) are the proud owners of Eldstó Art Gallery as well as the Café / Restaurant and Guesthouse. Their appealing applied art creations are glazed with volcanic glaze, made from pumice and other volcanic substances from Mount Hekla, the glazer Eyjafjallajökull and clay from Búðardalur. On our big TV screen you can see video clips of the artists at work designing and creating original Icelandic handiwork.
Our guests can have dinner at the restaurant all year, but we close over Christmas and few other days that is advertised on our Facebook paged. Breakfast is available on high-season – May - September
Eldstó Guest House is right above the café and gallery. There are 5 rooms for 2-3 people and two bathrooms, each with a shower. A small kitchenette and a sitting room are accessible to guests. Beds are ready made. Please make reservations for dinner in Advance if there is a group of people Together. Eldstó is right on the main route and therefore easy to find.

Eldstó er opið í vetur á auglýstum opnunartíma sem að er breytilegur milli daga. Við tökum á móti hópum, en þurfum minnst 2ja daga fyrir vara til undirbúnings. Gistiheimilið er opið bæði fyrir minni hópa og einnig þó að þú sért bara ein/n á ferð. Morgunverður er í boði á sumrin í Eldstó Art Café, en annars er hægt að panta morgunverðar körfur, eða bara koma með sitt nesti. Eldhús er upp á gistiheimilinu.
