The Canal Bar was established in 1984, as part of a refurb of the adjoining Old Waggon & Horses, and offers waterside seating and marketplace views.
Very popular with the town's 25-50 year olds, and known for some great live bands for free every Friday, with Saturdays crowds always happy to throw some shapes with resident rock DJ Smiley Dave on the decks.
Our Kitchen has just re opened - serving up the finest of dishes - Food you would expect from a traditional Pub / Bar!
And on the liquid side of things, we think our "unusual optics" policy is well worth investigating, particularly the locally unrivalled range of bourbons and rums!
Finally, we cover all the major sporting events, with the big games on our giant screen. Premiership and international football, rugby six nations, all big racing fixtures, plus gaelic football, cricket, boxing, and more! Just ask and we'll do our best to show it.
